What STP does
STP seeks the active engagement of tourism industry people, businesses and organisations by identifying common priorities and issues. Through collaborative, effective and strategic business planning with clear actions and measurable targets, the financial benefits are maximised and duplication avoided.
Specific objectives are:
- To develop and promote the tourism industry across Sussex
- To improve the visitor experience and raise quality standards via skills and product development
- To facilitate product development
- To provide a voice for the tourism industry in the sub-region and to give input into regional and national decisions including those of Tourism South East (TSE) and SEEDA.
- To promote collectively to target markets via specific campaigns built around themes and brands
- To provide marketing services for tourism businesses and local authorities and any other members requiring them
- To identify appropriate partners and apply for funding for tourism development and promotion
